This blog was based around the writers memories, he went back in time and wrote what happened between him and his high school sweetheart. It was interesting to read because it was easy to relate to – Whether your the high school guy in the story or whether your the girl been asked to come out and play – everyone has experienced it, hence why it was a smooth read. While he wrote about his younger years.. you found yourself thinking about your own experiences.
For me, I remembered sitting in my class looking outside, waiting to go eat lunch when a guy just looked at me and we held our “first gaze”.. oh its seems so silly looking back but I can remember thinking this is so weird when is it going to stop? It felt like 2 hours although I now know it was only 2 seconds. Staring at a guy while he was looking directly into my eyes was completely unknown to me. Oh.. time does fly.
This piece of writing I probably wouldn’t enjoy if I had to read it in my own time for my own leisure, but been at school and having been forced to read & analyse it by my teacher.. then i must say.. it’s not too bad. To just kill time and enjoy thinking back to the ‘good old days’ then.. it’s pretty enjoyable.
I guess anything is enjoyable if I compare it to having to sit in Bill’s class listening to him crap on about writing.. goes in one ear out the other.. reading blogs is much more fun.
